Sales! Sales! Sales!

The post Christmas sales are not usually something I enjoy, I don't like crowds,  but I was persuaded to get stuck in by my sister and my Mum this year. So with a 3 hour parking ticket in Newbury - off we went. We went to Debenhams first where I got two sets of underwear at £13 each - one in purple and one in blue and white polka dot. My sister bravely spent ages trying to pick a coat for her husband who had stayed at home (she picked one but it's going back!) so I spent ages browsing all the Benefit make up. Just got to keep hoping for that lottery win so that I can go Benefit crazy. We had a quick look in H+M but with no joy and then headed to Cath Kidston.

Cath Kidston had some lovely items in the sale, lots of little bits and also a range of larger bags. The light blue clip purse was reduced from £12 to £8 and I've wanted one for ages. I think they are so cute. The smaller green zip purse was £3 and it's the type of thing I will find really useful when I've only got a small hand bag on a night out or something like that. The two small mirrors came from John Lewis Home a little later in the trip and were reduced to £1.75. Pink for me, cream for Mum.

I had set out looking for a new winter coat and I was more successful than I thought I'd be.

I usually go for a fairly safe 'goes with everything' black option when it comes to coats but wanted something different this time. In this case it's not just the colour but also the collar. I don't think I've owned anything part faux fur before so I thought I'd give it a try. This was reduced from £59.99 to £30 in New Look.

The collar is removable which will be good if I have a day when I'm not feeling the fur.
Anyway, before we knew it the 3 hours of parking was nearly up! We'd only been to Debenhams, H+M, Cath Kidston, New Look, John Lewis Home and M&S. Time flies when you're having fun (and spending money!)

If you're reading this and have blogged your own treats from the sales then please leave me a link in the comments. I'd love to have a look.

Happy New Year everyone! My next blog in a few days time will be all about my New Years Eve in London - waiting for and watching the fireworks display on the Thames.
